Everything's Coming up My Way ^_^
Hooray!
Now, let's go over the list of great things in my life recently:
1) I've moved up to standard mode in DDR, and yesterday, I was able to get all the way through "Freckles".... my best score on it was a "C", but at least I got through it.
2) It's been cold, dreary, grey, and kinda rainy these past couple of days. SCORE!
3) I re-arranged my room, and now just need to fold up a bunch of clothes and decide if I'm going to keep them, GoodWill them, or make them into ragdolls. The new arrangement of my room feels simply wonderful--I've got the stereo I was given finally set up in there, and since I moved everything, I've slept like a rock all through the night. ^^ I like it.
4) My social life has been hopping with activity--far moreso than it ever did at any previous point in my life. Whee!
5) I officially finished high school on Thursday. ^^ Huzzah for me!
Hmmm.... what else? Oh yeah...
6) I GOT MY BRACES OFF TODAY!!!!
That's right, NO MORE BRACES FOR CHII-CHAN! (Well, I've got the bonded lingual retainer, but I was exicted about that, too.) They are GONE, GONE FOREVER! I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo freaking happy, you have no idea. I've actually been SMILING! (This is a greater miracle than you might think--even *before* I got braces the first time, I never liked smiling. Now I can't seem to stop. ^^) This is soooooo great. I'm soooo happy they're gone. I wasn't really looking forward to getting the brackets taken off, because the last time I had braces, it often felt like Dr. Mike (my old orthodontist) was going to rip out my tooth along with the bracket. (That probably had everything to do with the bonding cement and the bracket itself, though. Guh.... Inspires. DX ) However, with these brackets (Daemon), they just popped right off. Just a little bit of tweaking, and POOF! gone. (Daemon brackets were designed to pop off easily, though. I just didn't expect them to go that quickly.) I actually thought the assisstant was cutting the wires around the brackets at first, but then when she pulled out the wire with all the brackets still attached, I was in complete awe. It looked so cool! Really, the worst part about getting de-bonded was when the assisstant (a really great lady; I wish I had caught her name) was using the crazy little drill to scrape off all the excess cement. She was really good about it, though. Everyone at Dr. Grey's office is so nice and professional. I wish I had gone there the first time I had braces and gotten it done right--the treatment, the experience, everything. I felt bad for them, though--after I got my lingual retainer bonded, I went back to get impressions, and I really got to see all the assisstants running around like chickens with their heads cut off, desperately trying to figure out who had what patient, who was doing what and where and when, and so on. Turns out they were short two people, and everything was falling to shit accordingly. However, thanks to Scandia, I have experience with that kind of situation, and made sure that I put absolutely no pressure on the girls helping me. (At least, I hope that's what I did.) After all, I no longer had any rocks on my teeth--I figured I could wait. ^^
Anyway, the braces are gone, I'm done with high school, my room is different, my skill level on DDR has improved, and overall, I feel really good about myself. Now all I need to do is shrug off my old job, and my transformation will be complete! ^^
Happiness~~
