Okay, so yeah: The big bit of news is I HAVE INTERNET AGAIN!!!!! YAY! And then we've got Faire news. But before that, I'm going to prom with my friend Aaron (just as friends, I assure you), and Mykal's family is helping him plan out the loss of his viriginity over AX this year. .....uhm..... yay...? *shrug*
So, today I was at Faire (again), and things are going pretty well, I think. My Guild is so small..... yeesh. But anywhoo, during rehearsal for the Opening Gate show, I walked up to Shakespeare and said, "Hey, you owe me a date." He started laughing his ass off. I continued. "No, seriously! You said on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend last year that you owed me a date when I'm 18!" and he continues to laugh. Our Spanish ambassador looks at him and says, "See man, when you promise them things like that, they remember!!!!" Oh, it was funny. I liked it. Yeah....I think Shakes likes me. Not likes me likes me, but likes me. They were rehearsing the Lord Mayor's show when I finally got to leave, and he smiled and waved bye to me. He's a cool guy. Oh, and Will Wood, our ...... oh, shit! What charrie does he play.....????? Uhmmmm........................... he plaaaaaaaayssss..................... SIR FRANCES DRAKE!!! Yeah! That's it! Anyway, our Sir Frances seems to have taken a kind of liking to me as well. He and Shakes were asking me inbetween rehearsals what I was doing at Faire this year. I told them that I'm still a Foolie, but I might get snagged away in a few years by either the Criers of the Belles of Bedlam (which is the group I wanted to join last year, but I found out I couldn't until I'm 18). Of course, Sir Frances and I got to know each other rather well last year.... during the Queen's show, he kept accidentally hitting me in the head with his arm. And he, being a gentleman, would find me after the show and apologize for hitting me. He is the coolest guy in the world. I was joking with Tina (Mykal's mom; she dropped by today to find the people in the Rat Race booth) that the only thing that would make Will Wood retire from Faire is death. We both agreed that it would probably be from a total burnout, that he'd just work himself too hard, but he wouldn't be so inconsiderate as to die in the middle of the run. No, he'd wait until the season was said and done, then he'd keel over. Yeah, that's how devoted he is. Brad and I believe that he was probably Sir Frances Drake in a past life. He just pulls off the part so well, there's no other explination. Well, if you don't believe in past lives, you could always say he's just a very good actor, but I digress. Mr. Chaing was there, looking for his Guild, the fencers, but nobody really knew where they were, so he was essentially screwed. I hope he found them. Oh, and apparently, there's a really good Thai place just down the street from Fairesite. I want to show it to Mom. I'm pretty certain she likes Thai.
I feel kinda guilty, sitting here online instead of helping around the house....but I told Mom to tell me to do things, if she thought of little tasks for me to do, so yeah..... I guess I can't feel too guilty.
well, I guess that's it for now. Ciao!

Okay, so Faire hiring day was today (Yay!). Much happiness. However…..ugh. It was tiring. I was on my feet allllllllllll day long, and I do NOT want to stand any longer. I *started*, among other things, couldn’t register because I lacked an ID, almost forgot my cell phone, and in general….. ugh. My Guildmistress talked to me, and apparently, I lied to her last season (I didn’t really consider it a lie, but we interpreted my words differently, I guess), and on some days, I “just didn’t seem happy to be there”. Those were my PMS days. I told her so, and she was cool, it’s just that this year, I’m getting paid, and she wants me to be all there and all happy (‘cause the Fool’s Guild is the Happy Guild) so she won’t feel bad paying me….or something. Oh well. And Cheryl was there! OMFGs! In case I haven’t mentioned her before, Cheryl is the most bee-yoo-ti-ful woman I have ever met. She is drop dead freaking gorgeous. She was pretty much my older sister at Faire last year. I’m really glad she was there today. She’s going to go to Law School next year, so this is probably the last year I’ll see her (for a while, anyway). I also saw Dreds (aka AJ), who won’t be a Foolie this year. He’s working, and he’s going to be one of those magical people who make the buildings just APPEAR piece by piece over the week. ^_^ But he remembered me, and that made me happy. But even better was when our SHAKESPEARE remembered me! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ He owes me a date. I didn’t get a chance to remind him, but hey, he remembered my face, so I bet he at least kinda remembers that he owes me a date. The story basically goes like this: Saturday of Memorial Day weekend last season, I saw him at the whorehouse. One of the gags that had developed between me and him as the season had progressed was that I was *always* fawning on him, being the cute little Foolie I was (and still am). So I see him at the whorehouse when I was walking with my friend Kelly, who had been Gatelisted* that weekend. So when I see him, I turn to Kelly and tell her to wait a minute, ‘cause I was gonna go play. So I run up, throw myself down on the little steps leading up to the whorehouse, and siiiiigh over Shakes, blinking my pretty blue eyes at him. One of the noblemen who was always there in the morning comments to him, “I think you have a fan.” Shakespeare replies, “Yes, I know.” The Noble says, “Why don’t you *do* something about *her*?” And Shakes replies, “Because she’s *jailbait*!” So I smile, hold up three fingers, and say, “In three years I won’t be!” Shakes looks at me, blinks, then replies, “Fine. Three years from today, you and I have a date.” So that’s the story. Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, 2007, I am going on a date with Shakespeare. How many girls can say *that*? ^_^ If nothing else, I’ll just make him buy me dinner, and that’ll be that; I mean, there’s a very good chance he and I’ll be involved with other people by 2007, so I don’t want to tear him away from his girlfriend / fiancée / wife and say “Sorry, but he promised me a date in 2004!” Naw, that’d be just wrong. So, probably just dinner. Then we’ll go out with our respective parties and par-tay! Another interesting thing I learned (when I was walking away from the registration line ‘cause I couldn’t register) was that one of the Poxy Boggards does voice-acting work!!! ON ANIMES!!! I was so excited to learn that. Now I want to see some of the stuff he said he’s done, #1 because he said most of the ones he’s done are okay when it comes to being dubbed over (so I can only assume the translations are fairly accurate), and #2 because I can say that I know an American seiyuu! ^_^ I remembered him from last year, but I guess it’s pretty understandable why he wouldn’t remember me. I mean, I’m me! *sigh* And I met the two friends that Brad’s always talking about (Emily and Alice (emphasis on the second syllable, like “Al-ICE”))(if I spelled her name wrong, tell me, kay Brad?), and his Guildmistress (Sarah). I mean, in all, a lot happened, but I was way unduly stressed. I didn’t talk much around Brad’s guild—I probably couldn’t have gotten a word in edgewise to begin with, but I also didn’t want to say something and make a bad first impression. It’s a habit, a very old habit. I hate saying things the first time I meet someone that are really off-the-wall and off-color that they never forget and think would be normal for me. I try to please far too often….until I get comfortable with a person. Heh. Hehehehe.
Well, that’s really all that happened today (that I’m going to post where the public eye can see it). Bai-bai!

I think the scanner/printer hooked up to my new computer is possessed. I'm half-tempted to drive the evil from it via holy water and a bible, but I'm not monotheistic, so I guess that wouldn't work. Good news is that I scanned my preferred pictures onto the computer so I can print them and sell them. Bad news is this: All my piccys are black and white, yet a strange pinkish glow seems to surround every black line my printer prints. And *then*, when I hit buttons like "cancel" and "power" to try and prevent the further waste of ink (I made three Calsons before I started *really* wigging about the freaky printer), it, for lack of a better word, hisses at me!! Spits the paper out at me and makes an evil noise!!!! I swear, my printer is evil and possessed. It hates me. It wants me (the evil, weird, crazy little artist girl) to burn in computer hell. Now *that* I would be afraid of. Christian hell--been there, done that, waaaay overrated--Computer Hell--nothing but technology....*everywhere*. And I, as the sole human, have to attempt to operate it. Now *that's* scary.
*yawn* Now, I am practically dead on my feet (or ass, whichever would be more appropriate), so I'm off to bed. Or something. Maybe I'll call Brad, or maybe he'll call me or something. Who knows? It's Friday night, and I want to sleep. So ciao!
