Ooooookaaaaaaay.....
So, I wrote an essay, and have some journal writing to do. Tomorrow I'll be at home, mainly, doing schoolwork. As much as I'd love to go chill with Brad tomorrow, I really really need to get my frikkin' English done, and I'm getting better and better at pumping out essays in no time flat. I mean, I wrote my persuasive essay on why cats are better pets than most dogs in about an hour and a half. XD Next I have journal writing and a bunch of bookwork, which should be easily done, and then one more *actual* essay. Maybe I should do the essay first, so I know I have it done, then do all the bookwork as it comes along. Meh. *shrug*
So I went to see Mykal in "Phantom of the Op'ry" today. Funny. Ass. Play. I was about to sit towards the back when I saw a very familiar hair-toss down towards the front, coupled with a very familiar lift of a chin, and I thought, "Oh, is that Tina? I hope it is. Who's she talking to? Is that Mykal's dad? Why would she talk to her ex?" (Yeah, my 'rents hardly ever talk nowadays, and I don't think they ever will.) So I went down, and sure enough, it was Tina, so I sat behind her, and the man she was talking to introduced himself as "Mykal's Father". Yes, I have finally met Mr. Underwood. Oh, it only took me a year or two of nagging Mykal about it for it to finally happen, but it did.
Like I said, play was hilarious. Mykal's hat was the best damn prop....and undoubtedly, one of the best lines was from the Phantom to Christine: "Is your IQ above room temperature?" >o< Funny shit. Most of it was stuff that they improvised, too. Tina said that about 45% of the show was from improv they did during the rehearsals. For example:
Farleigh Good (the hero): Ugh.... water.....
Junior Hampster (Mykal): ....lemonade.....
Farleigh: .....milk.....
Junior: You got milk?
Farleigh: No, but I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico!
Yeah....guess how much of *that* was improv.
After the show, Mr. Underwood gave me a ride home, so I got a good idea of where Mykal's sense of humor comes from. Compared to Mr. Underwood, Mykal is pretty diluted. Okay, more like *fairly* diluted. I found a way to mention Brad (because Mr. Underwood was wondering if he should watch what he said around me, so I told him that I knew Mykal and Brad (you know, Bradley Null? Brad?), so he didn't have to worry), and he was like, "Oh, man, Brad? Yeah, of course I know Brad! I know Brad all kinds of well," and that sort of stuff.
So yeah, I finally got to meet The Legendary Mr. Underwood. Interesting to see how Mykal's going to turn out.
In other news, I finished a unit....I think....? No, I still have to do the journal writing part of Unit Three. I finished that last essay in Unit Two, so I'm done with Unit two, and when I do the Journal writing, I should be done with Unit Three, so I'll probably be done with Unit Three tonight/tomorrow morning. Then I'll get started on units four and Five. Oh.....I need to read that last part of F: 451, too. I could probably finish it from memory, but you never know what parts of the curriculum get changed from school to school. *sigh* Fantastic book, F: 451. Too bad I can't spell the first word in the title to save my miserable little life.
So, I'll soon be done with English III in OFY. Then I'll get started on my Basic Drawing course. I'll have gotten rid of the Albatross around my neck, and then I'll get to do easy, mindless stuff. Yay! And that means I should be able to chill with Brad sometime this week! Double yay!!! It's been too long since I last saw him. When'd I last see you, Brad? *thinks* Oh, and Mr. Underwood wants you to call him. Like, really. I think he called you a bum; I don't quite remember.
Well, bai-da-bais now. More to come when there's more to report on......
Oh!
It would appear that Mykal's bounced back from T. B. with ease--he told me that he asked out a girl who was in his show. He didn't say if she said yes or no, but if she says yes, then he needs to get rid of the picture of T. B. that he has stuck to his computer monitor.
Okay.
Ciao for now,
